The Invention that has changed your life
Our teacher asked us to write a personal article about the Invention that we think has changed our lives, and that was mine 😁 :
I know it might seem silly writing about the microwave as the one invention that changed my life compared to all that other great inventions of the last century.
It didn't really change my life as well as the rest of the great inventions, but I felt like writing about one of the inventions that I use every day and it saves me time and energy daily.
I think most people know the story of the invention of the microwave in the 1940s, but it took it much more time to get discovered by my lefty religious family as a wroth owning equipment not some sort of luxurious unnecessary American device.
It was in January 2009 when my mother went to New York for a business trip and she had a microwave in her hotel room and it was one of the wonders that she started to tell us about when she came back as it has saved her lots of money by using it for preparing her food daily instead of having to go to one of the restaurants in the neighbourhood as it was one of the most expensive areas in the world "Manhattan".
I can't remember why we didn't buy one once she came back, but years later when I went with my sister to Hungary, I used to stay most of the day with my almost two years nephew, the microwave had helped me to heat his premade food without overcooking it. It was very easy to use whenever he feels hungry I just put his food inside and it's ready to be eaten after a couple of minutes, he even started to enjoy watching his food getting ready, the light, the sound and the movement inside the microwave which was funny and now it's a great memory.
when I came back home I have convinced my family to get one, and it saves my day every day I come home the latest of the whole family and I get my food's done as the moment it was cooked.
The microwave saves time, energy and saves food from getting spoiled and wasted by getting heated as whole every day instead of that everyone can heat the amount of one dish of food only whenever they need, that's why it's not used in homes only it's also used in companies and restaurants.
